However, things quickly go wrong when Jack accidentally spills a toxic chemical into the town's water supply. This causes the animals in the town to mutate into bloodthirsty zombies, and Jack is forced to use his slingshot and his wits to survive.
As Jack explores the town, he learns that the toxic chemical was created by his father, a scientist who was experimenting with a new form of renewable energy. Jack's father is now missing, and Jack must find him in order to stop the apocalypse.
Along the way, Jack meets a cast of colorful characters, including his eccentric family, a mysterious stranger, and a group of rebels who are fighting against the zombies. Jack must use all of his skills to solve puzzles, battle zombies, and uncover the secrets of Single Valley.
The graphics in Mayhem in Single Valley are a mix of 2D and 3D pixilation and are reminiscent of classic 8-bit games. The art style is colorful and charming, with the brightly coloured sprites popping out from the screen. The environments are also pretty well-designed too with a variety of different locations, each with its own unique look and feel. The characters are also well-animated, and they expressively convey a wide range of emotions.
The soundtrack in Mayhem in Single Valley is catchy and upbeat. The music perfectly complements the game's light-hearted tone. The soundtrack features a variety of different genres, including chiptune, electronic, and orchestral. The music is also well-composed, and it helps to create a sense of atmosphere and excitement. The soundtrack was composed by David "Danimal Cannon" Levy, who is also known for his work on the soundtracks for other indie games such as The Escapists and Party Hard.

Mayhem in Single Valley is a fun and charming action-adventure game that doesn't tale itself too seriously. The game is relatively short, but it's packed with content. There are a lot of puzzles to solve, secrets to find, and collectibles to collect. The game is full of personality. The characters are likable, the humor in the writing is on point and the gameplay itself was alot of fun to play despite its shorter runtime.
