June 1, 2022 – Become one with the animals in Going Medieval. Today, The Irregular Corporation and Foxy Voxel announced that a new update has been released for the colony building sim Going Medieval, available to download now on Epic Games Store, Steam, and GOG.
The Animals & Pets update adds new animal types and changes how animals work in the game. Players can now keep domesticated animals for useful resources such as wool from sheep, milk from goats, and meat and eggs from chickens. Players can also tame wild animals like wolves, foxes, boars, and deer to add them to their settlement to keep in a pen or train as a pet.
Check out the gameplay trailer for an in-depth look at the new update, including why an army of chickens may not be wise.
The Animals & Pets update comes just in time for Going Medieval's one-year anniversary since the game launched in Early Access. Since 2021, Going Medieval has been added to more than 1 million wishlists, with more than 600,000 copies sold. Players have also hunted 1.8 million wolves and 3.2 million deer, but starting today players can choose to tame and train these four-legged friends to help protect and advance their settlements.
Going Medieval is available in early access for $24.99 / €22.99 / £19.99 on Epic Games Store, Steam, and GOG.
